Trumpet & Trombone Online Music Lessons via Skype
Rich Willey, devoted student of Dr. Donald S. “Doc” Reinhardt, teaches trumpet and trombone students according to what he learned during his eight years of private, in-person study with “Doc” between 1978 and 1986. With Skype, online trumpet lessons and online trombone lessons are a perfect alternative to traveling great distances. Rich offers “chops” and/or “improv” lessons online.

1. Skype Lessons: Orientation and Analysis (brass instruments)
Rich Willey, a devoted student of the late, legendary brass pedagogue Dr. Donald S. “Doc” Reinhardt, teaches trumpet and trombone students according to his eight years of private study with “Doc” (including attendance at two of Reinhardt’s three-day teacher’s clinics) from 1978 through 1986.

2. Skype Lessons: Subsequent Lessons (chops—brass instruments)
As taught by Dr. Donald S. “Doc” Reinhardt, Rich allows students a 60–90 day “incubation period” and then meets with them again to see what indicators may have been unearthed by the grueling regimen they are given at their Orientation and Analysis Period lesson. Now is when the rubber really meets the road!

Learning jazz improv seems overwhelming without having somebody help guide you through it. Since Louis Armstrong every jazz musician has had a mentor or some person to help explain things.

4. Skype Lessons: Jazz Improv (subsequent lessons)
For those who have taken a first Skype Jazz Improv lesson with Rich and feel that they could benefit from some further explanation, demonstration, motivation or inspiration.
These subsequent jazz improv lessons are scheduled in one-hour blocks but usually run long, and that’s okay: no extra charge.
