“Magoo, you’ve done it again!” A tribute to the beloved yet visually challenged (nearly blind) cartoon character that entertained millions back in a time when political correctness was not even a term much less the way of life that it has now become for many. Have fun playing this zany little tune with your funk band!

Description

Mister Magoo  ♫ written by Rich Willey, arranged for funk band by The Amazing Wally Minko.

This is a playful tune that’s fun to play and easy to listen to.

186 written measures, ♩ = 166, perfect for the intermediate (and above) jazz player. The chord changes are fairly simple with some movement in major thirds and whole tones in the bridge that makes for interesting solo opportunities.

Written with space for trumpet (or bass trumpet) solo and saxophone solo. Also has four bar exchanges between ensemble and solo drums near the end.

All our funk band charts have similar instrumentation, and this chart calls for:
Trumpet 1
Trumpet 2
