Description
Little Treasures for jazz sextet is an Afro-Cuban flavored minor 6/8 tune written and arranged by Rich Willey that can be heard on two of Rich’s CDs available elsewhere on this site. Always well-received by jazz audiences; nice blowing changes; rhythmically, harmonically and melodically interesting.
Arranged twice (51 written measures), play melody once before solos, and play the out-chorus (with tenor and trombone counter-line) after the solos. Written to be played at ♩. = 110, difficulty level intermediate to advanced.
Parts for trumpet, tenor sax, and rhythm section come in a PDF that you’ll be able to download immediately upon submission of your order.
Written solos for any of our charts may be special ordered at a reasonable cost. Email us through our contact page with any and all inquiries.
♫ Rich plays all three horn parts on this shortened clip using Pro Tools with a Band-In-A-Box rhythm section:
Somewhere there is a live recording of this played with trumpet, tenor sax, trombone and rhythm section, and when it turns up we will replace the above recording with the live version.
